The Centre for Vivekananda Studies was established in 1988 with a view to bringing to limelight and spreading the knowledge of our great cultural heritage by organizing various activities including lectures and seminars with focus on Swami Vivekananda.

The center would run short term courses on Vivekananda to develop and channelize youth energy towards national building, by interacting with other Vivekananda study centers across the nation.

The Centre conducted an essay competition for undergraduate and Post-graduate students in Human Excellence as viewed by Swami Vivekananda.  It was a rendering experience as the reaction of youth minds on the ideas of Swami Vivekananda.

Objectives:

  1. To generate employable youth and enlighten citizens
  2. To inculcate the patriotic spirit
  3. To spread the noble ideas of Swami Vivekananda
  4. To encourage the students to write Vivekananda Kendra exams
  5. Channeling youth energy towards Character Building

  1. Displaying the pictures and message of Swami Vivekananda in campus
  2. Broadcasting Inspiring Speeches of Swami Vivekananda
  3. Organizing personality development classes for youth
  4. Inviting experts to deliver special lectures on Swami Vivekananda so as to inspire the youth generation

Department of Social Work specialising in the field of Community Development is responsible for running the Centre for Vivekananda Studies.
